[ His God , My God ]

2 weeks since our 1st day in our institutions ... and 2 plus many more weeks for those that went to college. By now , we've ( more or less ) settled down to this new life of ours. I'm not saying it is a bad thing .. cos' I don't feel its a good one either .

If I were to generalise my modules , I'm taking Physics , Computer Mathematics , Computer Drafting , Creative Design , Thermofluids as well as Persuasive Entreprenuership ... So that makes me a/an Engineer / Businessman / Designer / Lab technician / Computer Architect after the end of my 3 years ...

No one knows what Bioengineering is ... Not even myself ! I just chose this course cos it sounded professional . 95% of the people asked me ... " What's your course ? " I said " Bioengineering " and all of them went ... " Oh " If I knew someone that chose this course I'd probably said the same ...

Today was like the Friday before ... Only , it ended at 3pm . So I went over to Jon's ... Wei Lun was there ... Ryan and Jy2 went for their CCA . Then I asked myself on the way ... " Why didn't I get one ? "

They will be occupied after lessons on Tue(s) and Fri(s) . I think Kris and Germaine are in the picture too ... They joined Tennis . I guess these are good workouts for them . Come to think of it , I've been NOT exercising for the past month . OK! EMBARKING ON " EXTREME SLIMMING SCHEME " STARTING TOMORROW!
Anyone interested in a session of street football ? Then it's jogging at 12am around the neighbourhood .. Anyone interested to join me ? LOL.

They say when you move onto the afterlife ... You will 1st be carried to a place , as in ... the place you would wish to be there for the rest of your afterlife ... with the people that you choose , and that is your heaven . .. What is your heaven ?

Lets hope we all live in condominiums in Heaven ... With warm hot springs just nearby . Everyone will be driving at least a BMW. Everyone will be using PDAs and phone-inscribed-spectacles . Shopping malls just within flying distance ... Sounds very lol but it doesn't seem like a bad place ... now its your turn to add in what else you want in your heaven.

[ Eyes Closed , Mouth Shut , And Still The Hours Go By ... ]

I had this thought that buzzed through my brain : Most of our lecturers and tutors are all at an age of above 40 ... These people are the ones that are teaching us what they have learnt 20+ years ago , a.k.a the modern syllabus . So , are these lecturers 现今 or are we 老土 ?

Over the past few days I may have said some stuffs that really isn't .... me . For that , Sorry.

And still , the hours go by ...

Anyone intrested in a game of soccer anytime soon ? My spare tires are piling up ... lol

[ As Far As I Know ... I'm still Yu Ker ]

Question for the day : How much of a jerk is Yu Ker ?

There are some questions in the world that don't have an answer ... We only can live through our lives to find out if these answers still exist ...

So the day is Friday ... April 20 ---> MJR Secondary's School aniversary ... News of former ' Class of 2006 ' students returning to their once ' second-home ' spread like wild fire . Polytechnic lessons start as usual . Late for the 1st lesson on Oral Communication ... I guess it teaches you to be more interactive and yourself more ' marketable ' for business purposes more likely. Played a game called Survival and i guess the point really wasn't put acrossed since we didn't really took much of the game into consideration , and so the usuals of how a lesson would look like took place and dismissed for lunch ... Junyong and Ryan went to dine with their classmates so I went for a meal ... with a friend I called no one ...
But I guess me being me ... I'm used to all that .

Met Jenny , Nicole and Kris later ... apparently for their lunch ... They had nothing much to say to me ... vice versa . Seriously speaking ... my existence for that moment could be substituted for a map of SP. Somehow ... being with my friends felt more like being with people with THEIR friends ... But I guess me being me ... I'm used to all that .

The next lesson was a module about IDEAS ... where you learn how to unlearn -.-
I guess the highlight of the lesson was a advertisement video starring Lee Hyori ... where even today , many still mistake her as BoA ... But I still feel the lecturer was quite charismatic although i thought he had a short tongue ...

So the lesson ended at 4 ... and I would come across another funny meetup with my friends ! I called Jy2 and no reply ... called Ryan and no one answered ... finally sms-ed Kris to meet up with her ... and guess what ; They are already all together ! Isn't that the greatest way of making me look like a fool ?! HAH ! NICE ONE! .... .... the good news is ... we still have to continue waiting for more ppl joining us later ... not that i mind it ... But I don't want to .. So I said I'll go head off 1st ...

So no one followed suit ... o well ... Guess its another lone ride in the train ... I guess music was the best companion wherever I went ... so far . Received an sms of meeting me at Dover when I already reached Outram Park ... -.-

The winds blow back ... the memories of the hurried steps to the familliar gates ... The nostalgic scene was stickered with bodies of old friends gathering outside the gate . Only this time ... they were dressed casually ... with all of them , I had a past ... but there won't be much of an anticipated future ... Had a long chat with Sebastian , whom , although plagued by the stress he's dumped with , still have the patience to hear my troubles ... Thanks .

So the SP remnants arrived finally , and we went in to collect our O Level certificates ... Met up with teachers and other JC and polytechnic friends for a good chat. Somewhere or somehow ... you'll miss being in the classes again ... at least ... I did.

Finally saw Fish after so many months ! =) haha ... too bad she couldn't stay back to shoot some hoops ... o well ... she did win the prize for .... getting 5 dist. Isit? haha... Congratulations !

Yo Claron ! Still the same funny and smooth-talking Mr Elusive.

Hi Tedja ... How many months has it been ? lol ... looking more and more gentlemanly ... eh ?

Saw Weiyi too ! She's still the same tanned and cute figurine that everyone wants to hug tightly !! LO... and she's also still crappy and funny.

Miss / Mdm Tay is expecting ! wow ... it was just like 6 months ago when she urged us to study hard for O levels ... and now shes on the yellow brick road of conceiving. All the best to her new family and hope her child doesn't become a bloodsucker like 4F , as she would refer us ... haha ... I guess to call her Miss Tay at this period of time would be kinda wierd wouldn't it ?

The aftermath of the night ? A much-missed basketball session at Block 20 ... Although playing at lighting conditions as if provided by fireflies , it was still a good work out and fun to see everyone as enthusiastic about the game as they were before they graduated . =)

Tonight was the ideal night , I couldn't have dreamt of a better picture . I'm really grateful that I've known all these people that formed the cast of this wonderful episode ... For those that didn't turn up ... hope to see you again next year !

Apr 20 2007 , mixed feelings throughout the day and night ... But I love the friendship and me being me ...

[ ...Because We Don't Want to Feel Alone ]

OK! Its 1.a.m in the morning and I really should be in bed by now ...

Hmm... So to start off with today's post ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TSU TING (TOOTz) , YAN KUANG , ZHI XIANG AND MY FATHER ...

Actually ... birthdays happen once in a year ... But since time flies , these birthdays become more and more of an excuse for gathering with our friends and families ... When was the last time you were truly grateful that tt person was born on that day during his/her birthday? I guess I'm also one of the guilty ones that cannot really give an answer ...

Surprisingly , I woke up at 12 in the afternoon despite sleeping at 2.a.m last night. Wonder if I'll meet the same thing for the 1st day of school =X. Youtubed til 3 watching Samurai Champloo ... and so i figured I could go catch a movie with some of my friends before going to my dad's dinner ... Naturally , y'all know what the outcome was ... Yep ... everyone turned me down flatly ... Some said some other time . Will there really be some other time ? Or is it used too often that it's now officially the polite way of saying ' no ' . Hmmmmm....

So I dropped by at Jon's for awhile before going to join my dad ... The dinner was awesome ... I really do admire my dad , his words are so intellectual ... his knowledge is comparable to the Universe. I think at times ... being genetically-related to him ... Can I be like him when I become a father ? Can I inspire my children to think like what I'm feeling now ? I guess the answer is not too far into a future ... A blink of an eye and we've already lived 17 years past 1990 a.d ... Many others more .

Am I being boring again ? Paiseh ... Reality checks always bring you back to earth.

After dinner , we sent my brother back to the camp ... Although I don't have the urge to pull him back whenever he leaves for camp , I always felt my place empty and quiet without him . He is a role model to his colleagues in the Army as well as the freshmen . Following in his footsteps is my honour ... After all .. Being 21 years of age , he has achieved what he wanted and followed his dreams ... and I'm still looking for mine . My dad dropped me off at Suntec City ... stopped by at The Cocoa Trees and went off to join Tsu Ting and friends at Marina Sq. 's Seoul Garden.

Welcomed by Jun Yong and Edwin ... When I 1st saw them ... that spark reminded me ... 2 former Kong Hwa students who virtually never spoken to each other now walk together as if they knew each other for years ... I guess bridges like myself ... Tsu Ting ... Jerald catalyse this ... Wonder if the same would happen if we didn't exist ... Hmmm ...

Edwin was reallly stuffed to the max ... So we went out to have a walk ... I guess what we can talk about now is our expectations and happenings in our own Polytechnics ... Pity we couldn't continue the streak of being in the same institutions of education after MJR ( actually it just means being in the same sch. =P ) Yea .. Edwin .. You're right ... It's not like we're gonna migrate outta Singapore soon or smth lidat ... so we still have the time to get together ... But , after we settle down in our new lives ... Will we still have the urge to meet each other ... Now , we're gathering at once every 5 months ... Soon , it'll be once every 2 years ... and it'll be once every 5 years ....... ...... til the day before we die , we forgot who were our classmates in 2002 ... or 2006. Went off to meet Stephanie at Blossomz and she still the same bubbly teenage-never-wanna-grow-up gal since last November. It IS her last day working wholeheartedly there so she went off to 'celebrate' today with her boyfriend and colleague ... Jun Yong and Jerald joined us later and we continued our aimless walk ... But in the end .. we went back there like kids going home . And like kids going home ... we all were going home ... So thats it ... The day ended without any special farewells and ironically .. no photos taken ... Suprised to see Feng Yao NOT there ... Hmmm maybe he had something on? O well ... there's always next year ... or something like that .. No photographs ... Just a Hi and Goodbye ...

And don't think I've forgetten ... Happy Birthday to Lim Jia Ying (16 APR . 2007 )

[ Doku Doku ]

Finally ~ ... Everything's done... the SPICE training ... the lame videos and the flag day .. All there's left is to commence timetable on 16 Apr. Hmm... Time really flies doesn't it ... 6 months ago we were still lining up for our result slip , now we move onto the next stage. Earnings : $21.90

Flag day was a horror ! The night before i could not catch a wink ... So i stayed up the night and left home at 7. Relied on coffee to perk me up... wonder if its any close to what Yanzi has been doing to keep her awake for her busy schedule ... Oops ... sry !
Saw a familiar face at Tanah Merah Int. The class 'assembled' at ard 7.30 , so we went off starting the event.. Flag Day really reveals the true 'warmness' of typical Singaporeans... Hmm... I'm not saying anything but you guys get the idea.. So by 9am i had ard say... $18? Reached my quota anyways so I went slacking the rest of the day..

Met up with Yan Kuang , Kris , Jun Yong and Ryan at Plaza Sing and the place there in the wee hours in the morning was a ghost town...I mean... Who IS in the right mind to go shopping at 10am in a weekday morning? So the 5 of us combed the streets down to Orchard MRT. Met Germaine and Wee Loon on the way =) ... Seems like Wee Loon's doing quite well but i don't know if I can say the same for Germaine. It's wierd to see the whole of Orchard filled with SP students and tin cans like we ARE the needy. Not much of a harvest down the roads... Headed to Taka's KFC for our brunch and the Meltz was HORRIBLE ...hmm. Met Fan Yuan at City Hall and we toured Singapore's train lines before deciding to head to MJR to try our luck.. Thankfully the teachers there are still the kind souls that we've known along ...Thank Mdm Cheah and Mdm Poh for willing to part with their money !!! sobs*..Miss/Mdm Tay went walking to and fro ard the staff room area looking very busy and I keep getting the feeling she always wanna siam us ... or the tins ... lols , maybe she's really committed in getting the graduating classes prepared and deep down I know she misses us ... AWWWW... HAHA ! Next year we go back the 3 of them can join the Madam Club liao ... LO ... Took shelter there as the downpour was almost never-ending. 2.30 pm le so we cabbed to Dover .... So ex! lols. Done whatever was needed to be done there and headed home for a good sleep at our cosy beds.

Hope the rest of the SP students had had their fun today and the earnings rewarding...

[Because I am Here and You Are There ... ]

New colour ... new style ... new font ... Same ol' Yu Ker bringing you today's post. Am I supposed to blog today ? My memory is seriously failing me ... Am I still the same ol' Yu Ker ?

So after a long night of w8ting for replies , me , Jy2 and Xiang Rong went for a movie today. Went with Ryan to Jy2's for a swim ... and I'm really getting fat =( . Xr called (finally) and we picked the place and time . Cineleisure's ' Shooter ' was what went for. ... ... perhaps a 3.5/5 ? Another of USA government conspiracies and the likes , coupled with homemade explosives and serious sniper action. Not much of a academy award winning title , but it could raise a few eyebrows.

Ate at Xr's recommendation ... The food was well done but I'm not sure if I like it. Kept really silent and listened to my PSP like a librarian thoughout the day , though there was still a percentage of lamerlogy acting up in me occasionally .

She may have felt she went out with 1 person today or maybe 2 if Ryan joined us ... get my drift ?

Am I really supposed to say anything at all ?

Got home ... got showered and got MsN-ed . 3 rounds of DotA really wrapped up my online gaming. Talked to MsN-classics Jenny and Yee Pei ... Seemed like years since they went online.
But I can't really say anything much other than hihi and how are you , can I ? Is something wrong with me ? I'm getting kinda boring ... but then again isn't that how you all have known me all along ? The answer is not important ...

Thanks Jenny ... it was really encouraging ... But if I be myself ... will I get what I wanted from the start ?

Nvm...too much not-fun factor in this post ... But it made me think real deep.

The greatest chinese singer in my opinion ... beating other kings and queens like Jolin Tsai and Jay Chou ... Pride and face of Singapore ... She is none other than the legendary Sun Yanzi aka 孙燕姿.

She really does look like Huang Yida doesn't she ...? Or is it the other way round?

Her latest album... named " Against the Light " or 逆光 in Chinese , currently sits top of the charts of HMV . Hope the streak continues for a very very long time... Grabbed a copy of the album this afternoon... and the songs are ... SUPERB!

To all Yanzi's fans out there ... This album is a 88% inscribed into your 'must get list' ... Looking for meaningful and lullaby-love songs ? Looking for the next top of the charts song ? Look no further ... cos Yanzi is here to melt your heart once more !
